Docents

Do you love history? Do you like to interact with your fellow community members? If so, becoming a docent at the Los Alamitos Museum might be the perfect fit for you. Docents get to interact with patrons at the museum, showing off our changing exhibits and sharing the history of Los Alamitos and Orange County with the public.

Docents work in groups during the Museum's open hours, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. If you are interested in becoming a docent, fill out the contact page.

Event Volunteer

Volunteer at the Museum

The Los Alamitos Museum hosts events year round and many times we can use a few extra hands. From Rummage Sales to Teas and Dinners, you have your pick of events to volunteer at. Keep your eye on our Calendar to see which events you would like to help at. Email Shelli@losalamitosmuseum.org at least two weeks prior to the event to request to volunteer.

The Museum is fortunate to have the support of our wonderful community.  We are always welcoming individuals to share their skills and experience with us.  We welcome all ages to volunteer with us. From students looking for volunteer opportunities to local history buffs with a free weekend - Los Alamitos Museum is the place for you!
